Christina`s Empress of China in Hoechfugen

I was not impressed. The noodles were not cooked all of the way, the rice wasnt great, and part of my appetizer was burned. I will not be going back. I don't remember it being like this years ago. I'm disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant .

The Food was amazing... I don't know how I allowed this gem to stay hidden for so long. They even have a beautiful pond to greet you upon entering.

Excellent fried rice! With variety of flavors!

The person who was at the entrance of the very racist establishment and I did not like the attention and gestures that he was doing when I hear that I spoke Spanish the waiter was very respectful and very professional, but she is very racist.

Combo rice was dry, not very many shrimp, usually good but not this time.

I love this place !!the best dish I get is the Boneless White Meat Chicken Plate, also they Lo mein Noodles Plate and finally the two People Appetizer plate!! Far as Liquor Volcano trust me if u want A Buzz this the drink!!! Next time I'm going to take Pictures!!

Great food! Large portions

Great place, kind of intimate and cozy with great food. Very nice staff. They give you a lot of food that usually last my wife and I three days, so if you don't want leftovers be specific about how much you want lol. We love to eat here. The place is always clean.

Ordered a delivery of sweet and sour chicken with fried rice (white chicken). The rice was extremely dry I couldn’t finish it and it was cold, they also gave me black meat instead of white. While eating the chicken I pulled a long bone out of my mouth. I couldn’t keep eating I felt like I was about to throw up, I felt like they gave me someone’s left over rice and the chicken was nasty. I don’t know if it’s because it was a delivery, but they don’t make it like this when you dine in. Really bad experience:((((( Honestly a waste of money.

Great place to go to for lunch. Serving sizes are big. You will def be taking leftovers home

Food was hot, familiar and very good. I love Chinese food and empress of China had a familiar menu but, all food made in their own way. They had great hospitality, prices were awesome and service time was on point. I do recommend this place for a great lunch and dinner.

Very good food and service when fully operational. I wish they would open for dining in again. I miss going there with my husband.

The food was delicious, and I got a lot of it. The waitress was very sweet and kind. I love my hold time there. I will be go back soon.

Slightly better than China Doll. Seems like some of the prices went up and quality went down. After hurricane Katrina felt like it was the best Chinese on Westbank. But after last couple of visits I may have to reevaluate that and try other restaurants.

The food is always great. The menu has many delicious choices so you can't go wrong. It is one of my comfort places.

We had dinner there tonight and it was fabulous. The portions are huge. I had sweet and sour chicken,and I'm picky about the sauce and it was so good. Service was great. We live in Mandeville,but will definitely be back

Just had lunch there yesterday. Food was delicious and the quantity was bountiful!! If you want good Chinese food for a good price, this is a great place to enjoy. Service was very good as well. The decorations really set the theme to help you feel like you have been transported. Try it, I am sure you will have a great time!!

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The food was really good. Be cautious though you get a lot more food than what you think your ordering, which is a great thing in my book! Our 2 plates could have fed at least 5 or so people.

10 star restaurant, always courteous service, and the food is second to none.

Terrible service! Ordered on the phone and was told 30 minutes. Came to pick up way after 30 minutes and was told that our order was given to the wrong person. So hour and 15 minutes later finally got our food and we will never be coming back. Too many options to have to settle for this type of service!

What happened to this place? Was a favorite go to for chinese. Not as of today. We were there just a few weeks ago and it was great. Just as good as before covid the wonton soup was the best. Now its completely changed along with the combination rice and the egg rolls.. Suddenly nasty

My favorite place when I go back home to visit!

Empress of China for me was very disappointing. They were very short staffed. I would have been ok with that had the pepper steak and the beef stick appetizers had not tasted very rancid. The vegetables with the steak was well undercooked,as i know some people like them that way,crunchy. I dont. I believe the meat had maybe sat out to long or was old. The fried rice had a burned taste. So in short the meat had a rancid sour taste, the vegetables to crunchy and the rice burned. I will not go back there.

The food here was never very good, but it was a convenient place to pick up a quick meal. The quality has gone from average to inedible lately. The egg rolls I just got were a mushy mess as if they were stored in the bottom of a greasy bin. The previous time I ordered from there the crab rangoon was tough instead of crunchy, and it tasted off. I will never go here again.

It's a little pricey for me but if you dont mind paying for excellent food this is the place to go

I really like the food at Empress of China. My whole family likes it. The portions are large and tasty. Enjoy.

I used to enjoy their chicken fried rice, but there must be a new cook. The rice was bland had no taste at all and the rice was not cooked long enough. It will be a while before I go back. Have to give the cook enough time to figure it out. This was their 1st day reopening. My husband had the Shrimp fried rice. The shrimp and rice was undercooked. A few of his shrimp still had the shell on it so beware.

the cho cho's we ordered were cold and stale and although they were good the crab Rangoon was the same way. I ordered the general tso chicken it wasnt spicy at all and here was pineapples in it.

Some of the best Chinese good for the most affordable prices I've ever seen. They give u so much food it's unbelievable and if you think I'm lying just google the restaurant and look at the pictures they don't lie.

Nice quiet setting, an abundant amount of food (which I can eat on for 3 - 4 days) and the waitress was courteous. Will definitely go back

The atmosphere feels like you are in the Royal dinning room of the Empress of China. The service is phenomenal and the reasonably food was made with perfection! I will return again and again!

This place has been around a very long time and still puts out as if it was the grand opening. For great service and excellent authentic Chinese food with large portions, this is the choice. All stars earned as there is no negitive or faults during any of my visits.

First and last time. Food was over priced and blan. Sad what a rip off
